Perhaps the most common of all surveys, but maybe the most important. A pre-purchase survey is the most comprehensive of all reports.
Usually, this type of survey is performed to satisfy an insurance company’s request for a survey prior to renewing your hull policy.
Gaining popularity, often times an owner will request this survey in order to better prepare the vessel for sale.
If you have an abandoned boat on your property, the State of Ohio recently made it easier for you to get title to the boat.
I provide hourly consulting for customers who may just need some questions answered about a boat or research fair market values. I can meet with you at your boat OR at a boat that you are thinking about purchasing.
Travel costs and your time are valuable. Let me do some legwork for you. I can take digital images and videos to offer you a virtual tour of a vessel you are interested in. Let me be your agent to supervise the progression of a repair or a re-fit project. I can be “Your Eyes” for a variety of situations.
I would strongly recommend Bryan for a survey. I am very pleased with the survey, sea trial and final report. The final report was very thorough and well written. Bryan was very responsive and a good communicator. I had used a different surveyor when I bought my prior boat and the service and report from Bryan was significantly better.
Excellent surveyor, best I have ever dealt with. Very thorough, answered any questions I had throughout the survey and afterwards. Worked well with myself and the broker to get everything accomplished in a timely manner (VERY ACCOMMODATING). Purchased a 34 foot boat. Next year will we will be looking for a little 15-18 foot sea-doo/jet boat to tool around the harbor in. I will definitely use Mr. Shrock again or recommend him to someone else in the future. My wife and I were 110% satisfied from start to finish with the process.
Bryan did a fantastic and thorough job for us on a boat we have in contract. We found him through the recommendations of others that we trust and feel his service was very valuable. I highly recommend him.
Bryan Shrock went above and beyond our expectations. The survey conducted during the purchase of our 340 Sea Ray was completed with ease. Very pleased with his attention to detail and knowledge. Highly recommended. Thank you!
We were thoroughly impressed by Bryan’s knowledge and experience as well as his attention to detail performing our boat survey. Bryan took extra time to share his knowledge and explain all the survey findings in an easy to understand way and really went the extra mile both in the physical survey and subsequent sea trial Bryan certainly stands above the crowd and we would recommend Bryan to anyone that needs a boat survey. He will certainly be our first choice in the future and I would highly recommend his services.
On short notice, Bryan surveyed a Pursuit 2570 Offshore for me. He was very good at pointing out potential issues and gave me honest feedback on the boat - all while I was hovering over his shoulders. Survey done on a Saturday outside of his normal hours and report came back on Sunday. Great survey and would highly recommend him.
Great experience, very knowledgeable and detailed in his survey. Thank you Bryan!
Bryan was super informative and very thorough, going thru everything while the boat was in the water and out. I highly recommend him if you need a survey done.
Great experience with Bryan! He thoroughly reviewed all available aspects of the boat and gave us a great analysis bow to stern.
Perhaps the most common of all surveys, but maybe the most important. A pre-purchase survey is the most comprehensive of all reports. I will address and inspect all systems and areas of a vessel that are accessible to me. I will comment on structural, mechanical, safety, appearance, amenities and market value. You will want this survey to include an out-of-water inspection and often times, I will ride along with you on a sea trial. The PDF document I produce will allow you to make informed decisions about whether to purchase, selling price, financing and insurance.
Usually, this type of survey is performed to satisfy an insurance company’s request for a survey prior to renewing your hull policy. This survey focuses on safety, structural, some mechanical and overall seaworthiness. It is not as comprehensive as a pre-purchase survey. It may or may not require an out-of-water inspection, depending on your insurance company’s wishes.
Gaining popularity, often times an owner will request this survey in order to better prepare the vessel for sale. It can range from an hour or two of consulting to a comprehensive inspection similar to a pre-purchase survey.
If you have an abandoned boat on your property, the State of Ohio recently made it easier for you to get title to the boat. One of the conditions is that the boat be surveyed to determine that it’s worth less than $10,000. I can provide you with an affordable inspection and document to fulfil that condition.
